Introducing the Mythos Copper Flute, my newest Copper Flute.
If you already have a Copper Flute, you know the approach: a patina'd copper body with a special resin head joint. That's been a great approach for many years. But what I've always wanted to make is a single copper body from end to end: patina copper and polished copper. I teased it about six months ago and kept refining it. And here we are today, the end result waiting to be placed in your hands!
The Heron Edition is for the first batch of Mythos only. It has two things the regular Mythos won't:
A fifth hole, an extra note [on the back]. The regular Mythos will have four. If you've been playing your Legend and wondered what another note would feel like, this is for you.
A special edition Heron sound cover. When a heron is hunting, it stays perfectly still, calm and content, until the exact right moment. When I'm playing the flute, I'm finding myself able to better stay in that same still awareness.
I designed this sound cover as my appreciation of that little slice of nature.
Key: plays in C# minor (E major), a half step above the Legend's C minor (E flat major). Includes new backing tracks just for the Mythos.
Includes: Mythos Copper Flute, Finger Chart, and Certificate of Authenticity
First batch of Mythos Special Editions ship October 14.
